All the Details:
Transitions Yarn: A soft single-ply fingering/sport-weight yarn ( 328yds/300m, 100g, 50% alpaca, 50% Peruvian Highland wool) in shifting hues.
The moebius cast on allows the cowl to be knit from the center out.
The facing is a long strip of striped knitting attached to the moebius with an i-cord bind off.
A double-layer of fabric is created which hides the wrong side of the knitting, and provides extra wind resistance.
Needles: Size US 2.5/3mm, 47" circular needles are required for the moebius. Double pointed needles (8" length) of the same size are highly recommended for making the i-cord. I used 3mm Chiaogoo circulars and Addi Turbo dpns for the sample, and both worked well. I do not recommend using needles with sharp points with a single-ply yarn like Transitions.
Six Colorways: The six Transitions shades were designed using the color palette found in Amble. For the Wavelettes Cowl, we selected coordinating colors to subtly enhance the shifting gradients in Transitions.
