The Sweet Meadow Story

I began knitting sweaters in high school, from magazine patterns.  There was no internet back then!  Time passed…then came the internet and I fell in love with knitting all over again. And I fell in love with designing my own patterns and buying yarn online.

But you can imagine how disappointing it is (it’s probably happened to you), to discover that the yarn which seemed so lovely on the web was not of the quality I expected.  The result was a large pile of UFO’s — unfinished objects in craft-speak.

So I decided to start a business offering kits featuring designer patterns with timeless appeal.  Included yarns would be of high quality, in curated colorways, to ensure your enjoyment of both the creative process and your finished garment, for years to come.

I’ve personally used every yarn that I sell; researching yarns and knitting samples was quite a long process. In fact, it’s an ongoing process, but one that I love because new discoveries are what keeps knitting fresh and fun.

I opened my virtual doors with Sweet Meadow Knits in November of 2023 and am looking forward! I look forward to helping every one of you go from “fiber to finished”, by providing excellent yarns, patterns and tools to make your knitting journey a delight.  And I’m  so happy to have you here, along on this adventure with me.
