A wonderful alternative to kidsilk/mohair yarns! Not everyone can tolerate mohair, some due to allergies, and others due to skin sensitivities. However, everyone loves and wants a yarn with a lofty, fluffy texture and Hedgehog Fibres has developed this beautiful new base with that in mind!
Alpaca Boucle is 66% Alpaca and 34% Silk, with delicate tiny boucles (loops) for a yarn that can be used in the same way as mohair lace, either alone or as a carry-along yarn.
This yarn is fluffy and has a brushed look when knitted, however this one does not shed! The tiny loops hold fast the fibres and keep them attached.
