Chrysanthemums Headband

Chrysanthemums Headband photo

Description

Practice your stranded colorwork with this quick-to-knit headband. The headband is encircled in a bold pattern of eleven stylized chrysanthemums.

This is a pattern which works best using three colors. You’ll begin with a knitted cast on, which is slightly stretchier than a conventional long-tailed cast on. After four rounds of ribbing, you’ll switch to stockinette and begin working the chart after one increase round. The headband is finished with one round of knitting and four more rounds of rib. The bind off is a standard bind off in pattern.

There are four rounds with long floats behind the flowers. I recommend trapping the background stitches on these rounds to keep your floats from pulling too tightly.
