Sophia Hat and Scarf Tutorials
Luscious enough for Sophia Loren, this hat and scarf kit is squishably soft. The eyelet chain ribbing is attractive on both front and back, and blocking is totally optional (shown here blocked to 9" wide).
The tutorials below demonstrate the Old Norwegian cast on (aka "German cast on"), Lori's Twisty bind off, and the method I used to add fringe.
It had been years since I made a pom pom for a hat, and so I tried out the circular disc method. It took less than 30 minutes and I was pleased with the results. This video from Sheep & Stitch is an excellent demonstration of the method:
