Two heart shapes are worked flat, then sewn together using the mattress stitch. Leave a gap for inserting stuffing and optional lavender sachet.
Hearts (make 2)
With MC and the long-tail cast on, CO 3 sts.
Setup Row (WS): Purl.
Row 1 (RS): K1, RLI, k to last st, LLI, k1 - 5 sts.
Row 2 (WS): Purl.
Rep these two rows 10 times, ending with WS row - 25 sts.
Next Row (RS): K1, RLI, k to last st, LLI, k1 - 27 sts.
Next Row (WS): Purl.
Next Row: Knit.

With CC and using the Picot Cast On, CO 49 sts.
Work one full repeat (11 rows) in Rosebud Lace St.
BO all sts with Picot Bind Off.
Finishing
Weave in ends and block.
Length should approximately match the circumference of heart.
Wrap lace around the heart, placing the 3rd rosebud at center-front. Angle lace to fit smoothly. Sew back seam. Glue or optionally sew (with beading needle) a seed pearl to the middle of the front-center rosebud.
