Houndstooth Notions Bag

Description

The Houndstooth Notions bag is designed to use multiple colors (use the ones included in the kit or mix and match your favorites) to practice seeing how colors change when used together in a pattern. The diagonal pattern on the reverse side is the typical pattern Shetlanders use to check color transitions and value contrast before starting a project. 

 I love the idea of using handkerchiefs for the lining -- minimal sewing & no cutting! Only one is needed for the notions bag, but you could make a much larger bag using both. For a wider bag, simply center the zipper and sew it in. Then lastly, sew in the lining join the seams on either side of the zipper at top.
